Oakland Holly is a large dense evergreen shrub with a stiff upright pyramidal habit and distinctive spiny oak-shaped leaves. If pollinated, the lightly fragrant spring flowers will give way to red-orange berries.  Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Oakland can self-polinate.
