Fairview Flame Red Maple is a vigorous deciduous tree with a pyramidal crown that droops and becomes rounder as it ages. The shiny dark green leaves had a red tint and turn a beautiful deep red in fall. Its growth will stagnate on calcareous soil. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Intolerant to salt spray.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Water regularly. Potential issues include stem canker, leaf spots, and root rots. Potential insect pests include aphids, scale, borers, and leafhoppers. Verticillium Wilt can be fatal. Its growth will stagnate on calcareous or very dry sol soil, and the fall color will be less noticeable.
