Arendsii Autumn Monkshood is an erect tuberous herbaceous perennial with an unusually thick stem and leathery deeply loped dark green leaves. The hooded deep violet flowers bloom in fall attracting butterflies and pollinators. Grows best in moist well-drained soils with afternoon shade in the south. All parts of this plant are extremely poisonous.
