Florida Leucothoe is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with a lax, arching multi-stemmed habit. Its rich, glossy-green foliage emerges tinged with red on new growth and remains green through the winter. Fragrant cream-colored flowers are borne in profuse axillary clusters in mid-spring into early summer. Grows best in partial sun and rich, moist acidic well-drained soils. Leaves are highly toxic if ingested.
