Lily of the Valley is a spreading herbaceous perennial with light green foliage.   One-sided racemen of nodding fragrant white flowers bloom on erect to slightly arching stems in spring followed by orange red berries in fall.  Grows best in dappled sun and moist well-drained rich soil.
