Celestial Dogwood is a heavy blooming deciduous tree with an upright habit.  Its leaves are a dark green that turns red-purple in fall.  The tiny button flowers have large petal-like brackets that open white and mature to pink, giving the illusion of 4” flowers, that bloom in spring and attract butterflies.  Prefers part sun and slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil.  Celestial has good resistance to anthracnose and borers.
