Dynamite Crape Myrtle is a  wide spreading upright deciduous shrub with exfoliating bark.  The foliage emerges reddish and matures to dark green before turning vibrant red-orange in fall.  Large deep cherry red papery flower panicles bloom on new wood through summer into fall.   Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil.  Catawba is mildew resistant.
