Cristi Hibiscus is a rounded woody perennial with upright hardy stems and coarse foliage with hairy undersides.  Near black buds open to huge glossy ruby red flowers with a darker red center and pale yellow stamen bloom repeatedly on the upper leaf axils in late summer attracting butterflies.  Best bloom in full sun and moist well-drained soils.
