Double Pink Hydrangea is a compact reblooming deciduous shrub able to bloom on both old and new wood.  Its serrated dark green leaves turn red-purple in fall. The flowers have unique double-petaled flowers creating billowy clusters that cover the plant throughout summer into fall.  The color of the large panicles depends on the soil PH - highly acidic soils produces soft pink flowers, while acidic to alkaline soils produce deepening shades of pink into dark blue.  Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.   Double Pink is highly resistant to root rot.
