Hightower Yaupon Holly is a strongly upright evergreen shrub with small glossy dark green spineless foliage.  Large clusters of bright red berries cling to the branches from fall into spring.  Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.  Drought tolerant once established.
