Golden Rain Tree is an irregularly round deciduous tree with open branching and feathery compound leaves. The leaves emerge pinkish-bronze to purple and mature to bright green before turning yellow for fall.  Bright yellow flowers bloom on long weeping panicles in summer and create a blanket under the tree with its fallen flowers.  The flowers then give way to papery seedpods that resemble Chinese lanterns.  Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil.
