Dwarf Blazing Star is a small upright clump-forming perennial native to the Appalachian mountains. The grass like foliage grows in tufts and along the erect stems that are dotted with the small rosy-purple flower clusters in summer.  These flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.  Best color in full sun and dry, well-drained soil.  Very drought tolerant.
