Ann Magnolia is a slow-growing deciduous tree which flowers later in spring and thus avoids frost damage to the flower buds. Fragrant 3- 4" cup shaped purple-red blooms in late spring and again in summer.  The ovate medium green leaves turn yellow in fall. Best color in full sun and moist, slightly-acidic, well-drained soil.
