Dolgo Crabapple is a beautiful dwarf deciduous tree that produces abundant small fruit from late summer into winter.  The red buds open to fragrant pink flower clusters in spring attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.  The small olive-shaped fruits are crimson red and have a crisp almost spicy flavor that is good fresh or for baking.  Best fruiting in full sun with deep, slightly acidic, well-drained soil.  Dolgo has good disease resistance.
