Golden Creeping Thyme is an aromatic, edible, mat-forming herbaceous perennial used for flavoring food.  The tiny glossy green foliage with messy bright gold margins are supported by purple stems.  Waves of tiny lavender flowers bloom in late spring-early summer.  Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant.

Thyme is believed to have an affinity for the respiratory system. It is said that drinking the tea, consuming the leaf in cooking and inhaling thyme steam help ward of ailments in the lungs. This aromatic herb is also regarded to aid digestion. *
