Blackhaw Viburnum is a large upright multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an irregular crown and glossy finely toothed dark green leaves that turn shades of red and purple in fall. Very large, airy flat clusters of creamy white flowers bloom in spring and give way to edible blue-black berries in fall. Flowers best with full sun and moist, lightly acidic well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
