Florida Leucothoe is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with a lax, arching multi-stemmed habit.  Its rich, glossy-green foliage emerges tinged with red on new growth and remains green through the winter.  Fragrant cream-colored flowers are borne in profuse axillary clusters in mid-spring into early summer.  Grows best in partial sun and rich, moist acidic well-drained soils.  Leaves are highly toxic if ingested.
