Blue Agave is a very large native rosette-forming evergreen perennial with thick succulent grey-green foliage that has a wavy bloom and sharp marginal spines.  Does not flower indoors. Grows best with full sun and dry to medium sharply-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established.  When outdoors, the very rare but spectacular erect flower spikes can reach up to 15-30 feet tall, resembling telephone poles with horizontal branches that end with panicles full of green-yellow flowers
