Chocolate Chip Bugleweed
Chocolate Chip Bugleweed is an extremely dwarf, spreading herbaceous perennial that forms a dense carpet-like mat of shiny chocolate foliage with burgundy highlights. Charming spikes of lacy blueish- purple flowers rise above the foliage in the spring. May repeat bloom in milder climates. Flowers best in part sun and moist, well-drained soils. An aggressive spreader.
Bugleweed has medicinal properties that is traditionally used for the treatment of wounds or sores and arresting haemorrhages. It is also used for coughs, fever, and normalizing the heart rate. Do not use if pregnant.*
