Russian Pomegranate is a moderate-sized deciduous shrub with mild green foliage grown for its edible fruit.  A late bloomer that avoids the dangers of frost to its flower buds, the orange-red flowers bloom in summer and its red fruit riped by early fall.   Russian fruits by its 2-3nd year.  Best grown in full sun and rich well-drained soils.
